Straight Teeth. No Wires. Half The Time.
You remember the days, when the thought of getting braces would bring typical jokes and future blackmail pictures. Sure, the end result promised a beautiful smile, but what about the next 1-2 years? Luckily, with the introduction of Invisalign® invisible braces a new option was available to combat the dreaded consequences of traditional braces.
Still, you may be wondering, do they work as well? The answer is yes, but the truth is you need to wear the aligners diligently. Traditional braces don’t come out, so you are forced to change your lifestyle to live with them. Invialign® is removable. Although this is a benefit, it could also create bad habits and take longer to complete treatment if not worn as prescribed.

Invisalign Invisible Braces Treatment at Dawson Dental
Invisalign Invisible Braces were introduced to Canada over 15 years ago. Dawson Dental Centre was one of the first dentists to offer this new way of straightening teeth. Since then, we’ve completed thousands of cases and are proud to offer the service in every Dawson Dental Centre location in Ontario.
How it works…
Instead of metal brackets and wire, you wear aligners that are clear and removable, so you can eat, brush and floss as you did prior to treatment. You are expected to come in every six weeks to pick up your next set of aligners. The appointment will take approximately 20 minutes. In between appointments, you will switch to a new set of aligners bi-weekly until the desired position is achieved.
Dawson Dental Centre offers customized treatment based on the complexity of your case. It will depend on how crowded your teeth are, the amount of space between them and whether or not you have a cross bite, overbite or under bite. Our Invisalign Dentist and Orthodontist Providers will determine whether you are a Level 1 through 5. Level 1 could take as little as 3-6 months, where as level 5 could take over 24 months. It really depends on your personalized treatment plan.
New Treatment Announcement!
To help people enjoy faster results, Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign have announced that many people may be able to cut their treatment time in half, simply by wearing their aligners for half the time.
Invisalign Cost & Insurance Coverage
Cost is always a concern, and only your doctor can determine the price of treatment. It is typically in the same range as ordinary metal braces. If your insurance plan covers traditional orthodontic braces, then you should be covered for Invisalign. Many Invisalign Providers offer a flat rate for Invialign Invisble Braces. Since each case is customized for each patient, we offer different levels of pricing. The average Invisalign case costs $4,900. What Happens After Treatment?
Since your smile has a memory for the way it used it be, your teeth will try to move back to their original crooked position. We will take impressions of your teeth to create a retainer. You will need to wear the retainer frequently and then taper it off gradually until you only need to wear it at night. We do advise you to wear your retainers at night for your entire life. This will maintain your oral health because your teeth will be easier to brush and floss when they are straight. This phase is also the perfect time to professionally whiten your teeth. Now that your teeth are no longer crooked, the whitening treatment will no longer have difficulty treating your entire tooth surface. Now you’ll really enjoy showing of your new straight smile!
