Dawson Dental is looking for a full-time Certified Level II Dental Assistant to join our busy practice. We are looking for an individual who has clinical experience and a passion for dentistry. The successful candidate will thrive on building patient relationships and contributing to their ongoing oral health.

Responsibilities

  • All clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation
  • Taking impressions, polishing, placement and removal of rubber dams, application of topical materials, pit and fissure sealants and other clinical duties
  • Possesses knowledge and skills in advanced chairside assisting
  • Establishes strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
  • Cleans and prepares treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient

The Opportunity

Dawson Dental is looking for a full-time Restorative Hygienist to join our busy practice. We are looking for an individual who has clinical experience and a passion for dentistry. The successful candidate will thrive on building patient relationships and contributing to their ongoing oral health.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriately assesses, plans, implements and evaluates services for patient care
  • Performs all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
  • Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
  • Providing consistent patient experience during hygiene visit
  • Establishes strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behavior
  • Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations
  • Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Registered with the CDHO as a Restorative Dental Hygienist
  • Valid CPR Certification

Practice Manager - York Region

Job Summary

Location:Toronto, ON (downtown)

Schedule:Full-time, Monday – Friday (some weekend work may be required)

  • Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Planning & Execution
    • Build and execute plans to improve daily operations of the practice ensuring maximum productivity, operational excellence & efficiency
    • Works to improve daily operations of the practice; develop strategies to increase organic patient growth

    P&L Management

    • Accountable to achieve financial objectives focus on increasing revenues (visits & services), EBITDA, optimizing labour models, consumables, other controllable expense
    • Manage all aspects of dental practice finances by reviewing and improving practice reports
    • Optimize financial performance through delivery of top line revenue, cost centre management and EBITDA targets
    • Responsible for meeting and exceeding production goals and controlling operational costs, maintaining high profit margins

    Patient Experience

    • Ensure exceptional customer service with a talent for building loyalty and focus on delivering optimal patient care
    • Display a patient comes first attitude by training and holding the team accountable for delivering optimal patient care
    • Align treatment planning with needs of patient and focus on best oral healthcare; ensure all Patients are provided with best and multiple options when deciding services

    Key Requirements

    • University or College Diploma in retail, business or office administration
    • 3-5 years experience in retail sales or service including experience in supervisory/management roles within in retail, service or Dental / healthcare environment
    • Strong business acumen and extensive experience in managing P&L, forecasting and budgeting
    • Proficiency in the use of dental software systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in company values; collaboration, integrity, excellence and innovation
    • Proven leadership results with leading, coaching and developing teams
