Dr. Richard Schmidt

Dr. Richard Schmidt obtained his Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1982 at the University of Toronto, followed by two years of engineering (Materials and Metallurgical Science). He left engineering for dentistry, and graduated with his dental degree from the University of Toronto in 1988.

He is currently a member of the Ontario Dental Association has been a member of the International Straightwire Orthodontic Study Club since 1995. More recently, he has become a member of the SPEAR Education organization. Dr. Schmidt has published articles in the American Association of Cosmetic Orthodontics Journal and has presented at the Moyers Symposium, University of Michigan.

Dr. Schmidt enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but his first love is orthodontics. He is actively involved with implementing Invisalign orthodontics in our office to provide patients with a wonderful smile without sacrificing convenience and comfort. Some patients require a major transformation of their teeth, and Dr. Schmidt utilizes Invisalign to position their teeth to enhance the prognosis of their prescribed dentistry.

Dr. Tamara Sosath

Dr. Tamara Sosath graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Zoology, with a subspecialty in Neuroscience in 1982. She then carried on with her dental degree at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, and graduated in 1986.

She practices three days a week and teaches at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, in the department of Oral Diagnosis and Medicine Emergency. She is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Crown and Bridge study club, and served as past president of the former Brampton District Dental Society.

Dr. Sosath enjoys all aspects of family dentistry, especially special needs and cosmetic dentistry, and truly enjoys helping each one of her patients obtain the very best oral health and a beautiful smile.
