Restore Your Smile With Dental Implants

Dental implants can be a reliable and long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth, offering both functional and aesthetic benefits.

Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are securely anchored into the jawbone, providing a stable foundation that looks, feels, and functions like natural teeth.

Dental Implants can stop the appearance of ageing, restore facial structure, prevent surrounding teeth from moving and give you back your chewing power.

Whether you’re missing a single tooth or several, dental implants can restore your smile, improve your oral health, and enhance your overall quality of life.

How do I know if I am a candidate for Dental Implants?

Dental implants are generally suitable for patients in good health. Some chronic diseases, heavy smoking or alcohol abuse may warrant special consideration.

Let our Dawson Dentists assess your needs. Dawson has dentists and specialists across Ontario who are trained, ready, and able to help you with this process. Our team will work with you to develop a plan that suits your needs and guarantees the best possible outcome for your smile. We believe that communication is essential to quality dental care. We strive to create a trusting and comfortable environment in which our patients can freely express their concerns.

What Can I Expect from My Dental Implant Procedure?

The dental implant process typically involves two steps. First, your dentist places the implant into the jawbone where the new tooth will be supported. Over several months, the bone bonds with the implant to form a strong foundation.

Once healed, a connector (abutment) is attached to the implant to help the gum adjust and prepare for the final step—placing the replacement tooth.

In some cases, a one-stage procedure may be possible, where the implant, abutment, and crown are placed at once.

The good news is that dental implants don’t require preparation of your neighbouring healthy teeth. Local anesthesia is used to ensure your comfort.

After the procedure, good oral hygiene is essential. Brush, floss, and visit your dentist every six months for checkups and cleanings.

Why Replace Missing Teeth

Missing teeth can happen for a variety of reasons, but it is of utmost importance to find a replacement solution to avoid any further dental issues. Missing teeth can cause a variety of issues, including:

  • Drifting of adjacent teeth: when there is a missing gap, your remaining teeth may shift out of place, causing alignment issues
  • Difficulty chewing: missing teeth cause issues in chewing that could possibly result in indigestion
  • Poor appearance and bone loss: loss of facial structure due to bone resorption
  • Loss of lip support
  • Poor speech: difficulty in speaking, especially if front teeth are missing

Cost of Dental Implants

The prices Dawson Dental offers our patients are based on the Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide. This is a standardized fee guide that is distributed to dental offices across the province.

We ensure transparency by providing detailed treatment plans tailored to your needs.

The total cost of dental implants may vary depending on the complexity of the case and any additional procedures required, such as extractions or bone grafting.

Our team is here to guide you through every step and help you understand the costs involved in your personalized care plan.
